Bleach: Dark Souls Review

Bleach Dark Souls is the 2nd Bleach fighting game released on the Nintendo DS. It expands on from its predecessor, Bleach The Battle of Fate, buy extending the roster, and adding new moves to characters.
Dark Souls features a non-canon storyline that takes place right after Aizen and his crew defected from Soul Society, in which a bunch of Mod souls go bad and reek havoc through the Soul Society. Story mode is sorta set on a path. As you proceed through you might be able to pick on of 3 fights or mini games to take on. Upon completion you may clear a new path or awarded a key to access some dialogue battle, or mini games that will progress the story. Some battles will have conditions you'll have to meet such as defeat you opponent while their speed is enhanced, and the mini games will ask you to destroy all the butterflies within the allotted time.

The game plays well and the controls are very easy. Its your basic 2D fighting game and it looks really nice and sound pretty good with the anime voice actors also providing the voices. As you fight you spirit energy bar fills up and to execute specials moves you can either preform the correct button configuration or use the touch screen. You can also customize your card deck. Your card deck contains cards that will activate different abilities such as speed, super jump, block resist and one to force your opponent to crouch. There are several different cards and as you play through the story mode you'll receive new cards.
There's an arcade mode that will allow you to pick a fighter and fight through a series of battles. A Vs. mode that lets you fight either the CPU, some one locally, or someone via Wifi. The problem with the Wifi is that no one is out there really playing the game, and if they are there are a few lag problems with it. There's also a time attack, training, and survival mode.
If you have a DS or a fan of the Bleach anime and manga series then you should definitely check out Bleach Dark Souls. It'll provided you with enough excitement time and time again.

Worth The Price

No doubt about it, video games are fun. They can provided you with hours of entertainment and enough content to make you go though it again and again.
Do games really live up to there $60 of more price tag?
On average a new game is released at $59.99. You pick it up and play it and beat it within a sold 10 hours. Now was that game really worth the $60 plus dollars (tax included) you spent on it?
I bought Ninja Blade when it came out. The game was pretty fun and I enjoyed it, but I didn't feel as if it was worth the price. It took me about 11 to 12 hours to complete and I had unlocked a large part of the achievements.
I had bought Left 4 Dead and Call of Duty World at War at there full price when they came out. Those games where definitely worth it, manily for their high replay factor. They're online multiplayer with several different modes and is different each time you play it and can continue to play it up for a year and still have a good time with it.
Ninja Blade wasn't worth the $60 i put out for it. After I finished it there wasn't enough worthy of a second play through. Left for Dead and Call of Duty I can play for months on end and have a good time with it.
Maybe it's because I'm grown and all and my parents aren't the ones buying my games but I think there should be a panel that plays the games and decides what they are worth. Because I know a lot of those movie based games aren't worth $60 I don't care what it is. $30 or even $40 wouldn't be bad for some games.

Crackdown

Now, some of ya'll out there might have bought this game just because it came with a Halo 3 beta demo, but you must admit that Crackdown is not entirely a bad game although its not all "cracked" up as you would believe.
You take the role of and Agent who must go around Pacific City and clean it up by taking out the 3 major gangs; The Los Muertos, The Volk, and The Shai-Gen Corporation. Before taking out the king pins you must search and collect intel on the people under them. Taking out the kingpins generals will make it easier when it comes to taking them out. At the start of the you pick and agent whose appearance changes as your abilities level up, and you can explore the city how ever you want to to take out the gangs. When roaming the city at points you'll gather intel of a person of interest and be asked to go check them out. When you find a high ranking person they'll give you a probability percentage if its low you can turn around find others in the gang before taking them on. You also can recover captured Agency supply points so if you die you can respawn at any of the ones you recovered. You can also use these points to recover ammo as well as add new guns that you capture for the gangs you your arsenal.

Driving, strength, agility, explosives, and firearms are your abilities to upgrade. You can up grade your driving abilities buy competing in races or running over gang members. As your driving ability upgrades so does your agency vehicles. strength is upgraded buy using force to take out your enemies. agility is upgraded buy completing rooftop races, collecting agility orbs throughout the city or killing enemies from heights. Explosives and firearms are upgrade when you use explosives or firearms to take out your enemies. There is also Hidden orbs throughout the city that will add to all your abilities.
The game can be completed within 10 hours. When playing the game there are several cool features for a sandbox style game like this just not put to the full potential that they could be. The driving controls aren't all that great. I found myself jumping around more than anything. There are some tough boss fights but none that are to much of a challenge. As far as graphics go. The cell shading style they use to give it a comic book type feel doesn't really set the tone for this game.
All in all its not a bad game. If your thinking about getting it make sure you find a good deal on it.
I wonder what Crackdown 2 will have in store for us?
Condemned: Criminal Origins

If you are a fan of games in the survival horror category and you haven't tried out Condemned then you should defiantly think about trying it out its worth it for its low price.
As Ethan Thomas you must hunt down this Mysterious Serial Killer X while collecting evidence and fighting off crazed bums, addicts, and squatters as you also collect dead bird and metal pieces to unlock secrets and achievements.
In this first person game you must combat your opponents by picking up items like pipes, wooden boards, Fire Axes and other items and whacking them upside your enemies head. There are also guns out there like a pump shotgun and sub-machine gun just to name a few, with limited ammo so you can shoot at your enemies and then when your outta ammo give them a good pistol whip.
At certain points in the chapters you'll have to investigate areas using you evidence gather tools that'll upload and send them to your friend Rosa who will analyze them and give you the low down and what to do next.
Graphically the game looks pretty nice. Not to many technical problems. One that i really noticed was towards then end of the game an area was blocked off but was suppose to have had opened up after a beat an enemy and didn't open up until i walked through it. But other than that everything else is pretty good.
The Sound fits this game perfectly. From when you bump into something and it falls to the sound the floor makes when you walk on it. You will be alert wondering when and where something is gonna happen and when you think your good, you might get a little shock.Although the game is pretty short the story is done pretty well. For you Heroes fans Greg Grunberg does the voice of Ethan. Its spooky atmosphere will keep you on your toes all the way through till the moment the credits start rolling.
Get lost in the vastness of the Galaxy.
